Making a quote
Press New quote on Home. Choose a returning customer or add a new one with a name, a phone number and the vehicle's size. Tap the services, extras and travel distance, then add before photos if you like, and finish with a discount and a deposit. The total stays at the bottom of the screen the whole way.
Prices by vehicle size
Every service has a price for coupe or sedan, small SUV, large SUV or truck, and van. A quote uses the size of the customer's vehicle, and you can switch the size on the quote. To change a price for one quote only, touch and hold the service. A quote keeps the prices it was made with, so changing your menu later never changes a quote you already sent.
Your menu
The Prices tab starts with 22 common services, extras, surcharges and travel distances. They are starting prices to change, not advice about what to charge. Tap any item to set your own price, hide the ones you do not offer, or add your own.
Getting the signature
Open the quote and press Get signature. The customer reads the total and signs with a finger, and presses Approve. The signature, their name and the time are printed on the quote PDF, and the signed quote's prices lock. If a deposit is due, you can record it right away.
From job to paid
Book the signed quote for a day and time, add after photos, and mark it complete. Then create the invoice and record payments by cash, card, Zelle, Cash App or Venmo. Part payments are fine. Deposits come off what is owed, and the invoice shows as paid once nothing is left.
Getting paid by card
The app does not take card payments itself. In Settings, under How customers pay you, paste a payment link from Stripe, Square or another card service, and add your Cash App, Venmo or Zelle details. They are printed on every unpaid invoice and added to the message when you share one.
Sales tax
Set one tax rate in Settings if your state taxes detailing. A new quote uses the rate set when it is made. Amounts are in US dollars.
Moving to a new phone
Everything is kept in the app on this device, and this version has no export or sync of its own. Restoring a device backup made with iCloud or a computer to the new phone brings your quotes and customers along.
Free, and Local Detail Quote Pro
The free version includes 3 quotes, and each one can go all the way from quote to paid. Local Detail Quote Pro adds unlimited quotes and invoices, your logo on every PDF, before and after photo pages in quotes and invoices, and revenue for the month on Home. It is a one-time purchase.
Restoring your purchase
In Settings, choose Restore Purchases. Pro returns on every iPhone or iPad that uses the Apple Account you bought it with.
