Cycle Days keeps your cycle on your own iPhone or iPad. There is no account, and nothing you record is sent anywhere.
Cycle Days is listed on the App Store as Her Cycle Calendar. It is made by Eden Apps, a sole proprietor based in Texas, USA. A shorter version of this policy is inside the app, under More, Privacy.
At a glance
| Question | For Cycle Days |
|---|---|
| What stays on your device | Your cycles, the days you log, your symptoms, your notes and your settings. |
| iCloud | No sync. The app marks its own records so that your iCloud and computer backups skip them. Your settings are kept with the phone's ordinary app settings, which a backup can include. |
| What leaves it | Nothing, unless you export a file and send it yourself. There is no code in the app that sends your information over the internet. |
| Apple Health | Not used. The app asks for no health permission and reads nothing from Health. |
| Who else is involved | Apple, for the Pro purchase alone. A spreadsheet, summary or backup goes only where you send it. |
The short version
Cycle Days has no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising. The app contains no code that sends your information over the internet.
What is stored
Your cycles, the days you log, your symptoms, and your notes live only inside Cycle Days, on this iPhone or iPad. There is no iCloud copy of them and no sync. Your settings, such as your typical cycle length, are kept with the phone's ordinary app settings, which a device backup can include.
Left out of your device backup
Unlike most apps, this one marks its own records so that your iCloud and computer backups skip them. The cost is real and worth knowing: a new phone starts empty unless you made a backup file yourself, so make one in More and keep it somewhere you can reach.
Health apps
Cycle Days does not read from or write to Apple Health, and it asks for no health permission. Nothing you enter here reaches another app unless you export it and send it yourself.
The app lock
If you switch on the lock, iOS checks Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode before the app opens. The check happens on the device and the app is told only yes or no. Your face and fingerprint never reach the app. If a device has nothing to check with, the app opens rather than shutting you out of your own records.
Files you make
Cycle Days builds the spreadsheets, the cycle summary, and the backup file in its own temporary space on this device, and clears that space the next time the app opens. A file only leaves when you share it or save it somewhere yourself. From then on it follows the rules of the place you chose: iCloud Drive keeps a copy with Apple, while a computer or a drive of your own does not. None of these files is locked with a password, so keep them somewhere private.
Purchases
You buy Pro from Apple, in the App Store. Apple takes care of payment, and the app confirms your purchase with Apple's StoreKit. Nothing about your cycles is part of that, and your card and payment details never reach the app.
No tracking
There is no analytics code and no advertising code in this app, and no tracking of any kind. Nothing about your body or your cycle is sent to us, and we never receive it. We do not sell data, and we have no data to sell. You can check this yourself: turn on Airplane Mode and everything keeps working, except buying or restoring Pro.
Deleting
Deleting a cycle or a day removes it from this device. Removing the app erases everything it stored here, so save a backup beforehand if you will want your history later. A backup file you saved somewhere else stays there until you delete it.
Children
Nothing is collected about anyone using this app, at any age.
Changes
If this changes, the date above changes with it, and anything new that uses the network will be described here before it ships.
