Local Stayline keeps your trips on this iPhone or iPad. You don't make an account, and you never sign in.

Local Stayline is made by Eden Apps, a sole proprietor based in Texas, USA. A shorter version of this text is inside the app, under Settings, Privacy Policy.

What the app keeps

Your trips (country, dates and notes), your settings, the day thresholds you choose per country, and any trip suggestions waiting for you are stored by the app on this device. They are part of the device backup that iOS makes to iCloud or a computer, as it does for most apps.

The Home Screen widget reads a copy of the dates that count toward the 90/180 rule from a folder on this device that only Local Stayline and its widget can open.

What leaves your device

Nothing, unless you send it. The app contains no network code of its own, no analytics and no advertising, and a check in the build fails if network code is ever added. The Pro purchase goes through Apple's App Store, which iOS handles for the app (see Purchases). It sends no data to Eden Apps, and we don't sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising. When you export a CSV, you choose where the file goes.

Photos (optional)

If you ask for trip suggestions from your photos, the app reads the date and the place saved with your photos and videos in the dates you choose. It does not open or look at the pictures or videos. It works out the country on this device from a list of places built into the app. The app does not save a trip until you choose to add it. The places read from your photos are not kept; only the trips you add are saved.

Location (optional)

If you turn on border crossing suggestions, iOS tells the app about large moves, such as arriving in a new city, even when the app is closed. The app works out the country on this device and keeps that country's code to notice the next change. It does not keep your precise location, and it does not send your location anywhere. A suggestion waiting for you keeps the country, the date and the name of the nearest town in the list built into the app, so you can judge the guess, until you add it or dismiss it. Nothing is saved as a trip until you confirm it. A border suggestion also arrives as a notification that names the country, so it can appear on your lock screen. You can turn this off in Settings at any time.

Reminders (optional)

Reminders are scheduled on this device by iOS. They are not sent from a server.

Purchases

Local Stayline Pro is currently a one-time purchase. Apple takes the payment in the App Store, and your card and payment details never reach the app. All Local Stayline learns from the App Store is whether this Apple Account has bought Pro.

Deleting your data

Delete a trip by swiping it away or from its edit screen, or delete all your trips in Settings. Deleting the app removes all of its data from this device. A device backup you made earlier still holds a copy until that backup is replaced or deleted.

No tracking

There is no analytics or advertising code in this app, and Eden Apps does not track how you use it. Nothing you enter is sent to us, and we never receive it. We do not sell data. You can check this yourself: turn on Airplane Mode, and your count, the Planner and Tax Days keep working. Buying or restoring Local Stayline Pro needs the App Store.

Children

Nothing is collected about anyone using this app, at any age.

Changes

If this changes, the date above changes with it, and anything new that uses the network will be described here before it ships.
