Terms and Conditions · Eden Desk

Last updated: 8 October 2026

By using Eden Desk you agree to these terms. They are written plainly on purpose.

The app

Eden Desk is made by Eden Apps. Downloading it gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it on the devices allowed by your Apple Account.

What it does

Eden Desk is a private assistant for your own things: it scans pages, reads and fills PDFs, finds your files, keeps your notes, and adds to your calendar. It runs on your device. What you make with it is yours, and the app keeps no copy of anything anywhere else.

The free trial and the purchase

Eden Desk opens with a free trial of fourteen days. The trial is a real App Store item at no charge, it ends on its own, and nothing is charged when it does. Before the trial starts, the app shows you how long it lasts, what stops at the end, and the price of the purchase.

When the trial ends, everything you made stays yours. You can still open, read, search, copy, export and print the notes, scans and PDFs you already have. Only new work (a new note or scan, a new event or reminder, filling in a form) waits for the purchase, and the app says so in one line beside those actions.

One purchase opens the whole Local desk for good. It is one payment, it does not renew, it is tied to your Apple Account, and it covers iPhone, iPad and Mac together. Family Sharing is on, so the people in your family group can use it too.

Refunds are handled by Apple under their own policy, not by us.

Individual Cloud

Individual Cloud is a subscription, monthly or yearly, bought through the App Store. There is no free trial: three short tries of Cloud come before it, with no card and nothing to cancel. It renews on its own until you cancel with Apple. The monthly allowance of pages and answers counts from the day you first subscribed and renews on that day each month, for yearly subscriptions too, so a year holds twelve allowances. What is not used in a month does not carry over. Cancelling turns off renewal, and Cloud stays on until the end of the period you already paid for. Subscribing sends nothing: Cloud stays off until you switch it on, and nothing leaves your device until you send an item after seeing it. Each month includes up to 1,000 cloud-processed pages and 200 cloud answers; there is no overage charge, and when either is used up cloud sends stop until the allowance renews, on the day of the month you first subscribed, while everything on your device keeps working. When the subscription ends, everything on your device stays yours and Local keeps working as before.

What works on your device

A few skills need Apple's on-device model, which only some devices have. On a device without it, those skills are simply not offered, and the app says so plainly before you buy. We do not offer a pretend version, and we do not point you at a paid upgrade instead.

Your work

Whatever you write, scan or organise in Eden Desk belongs to you. With Cloud off, which is how every install starts, none of it leaves your device. If you choose to send one item to Individual Cloud, only that item leaves, exactly as the Individual Cloud section above describes.

Folders you choose

If you point the app at a folder, you are responsible for what is in it, and the app only ever reads and writes inside that folder.

What we do not promise

The app is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it correct, but we cannot promise it will suit every purpose or be free of faults. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from its use, including work lost if a device fails. Keep your own copies of anything important.

Changes

These terms may change as the app grows. The date at the top shows when they last did. Individual Cloud, its three tries, and the Business or Enterprise application are the features today that can send something off your device, and each is off until you choose to use it. If a future version adds another, it will be off until you turn it on, and it will tell you exactly what leaves and to whom before it does.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute that cannot be settled between us belongs in the state or federal courts sitting in Texas.

Nothing here takes away rights your own local consumer law gives you, and purchases made through the App Store remain subject to Apple's terms as well.
