Sending your list to your insurance company
Open Claim, then choose Contents spreadsheet. You can email the file, or save it to Files and attach it later. It is a CSV file, which any spreadsheet app can open. The columns follow what adjusters usually ask for: room, item, description, quantity, age, purchase price, replacement cost, actual cash value, and proof. It also includes each item's brand, model, serial number, where it was bought, and your notes, so read your notes before you send it. The claim packet PDF leaves notes out. Model and serial numbers made only of digits are written so spreadsheets keep them as typed.
Replacement cost and actual cash value
Replacement cost is what a similar item costs new today. Actual cash value is the replacement cost less depreciation for age. The app works it out from the depreciation you choose for each item, and you can type your own amount instead. Policies differ, so check yours or ask your adjuster which values they need. The app does not give insurance advice.
Finding proof in your photos
Open Photos and choose the pictures you want looked at, or look through a date range. The app suggests photos that seem to show belongings, receipts, or serial number labels. It can be wrong, so you decide which photo proves which item. Birthdays, holidays, and moving days are often good places to look, because they show rooms in the background.
The memory walk
Open Walk to go through the house room by room. Each room opens with a short line and a few questions, and each question offers suggestions that open a short add form already filled in. Mark a question as looked at when you are done with it. You can stop and come back whenever you like.
Moving to a new phone
Open Claim and choose Back up everything. Save the file to iCloud Drive or another place you can reach from the new phone. On the new phone, install Local Home Inventory, open Claim, and choose Restore a backup. The backup is not locked with a password. Anyone who has the file can see your list, your policy details, and your photos, so keep it somewhere private.

Restoring your purchase
In More, choose Restore Purchases. Pro returns on every iPhone or iPad that uses the same Apple Account you bought it with.
