Last updated: 2 October 2026

Local Routine Tracker keeps your routines, and the record of the days you kept them, on your iPhone or iPad. There is no account, and nothing you record is sent anywhere.

The short version

Local Routine Tracker has no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising. The app contains no code that sends your information over the internet.

What is stored

Your routines, their steps, your notes, and the day by day record of what you did live only inside Local Routine Tracker, on this iPhone or iPad. A device backup you make with iCloud or on a computer includes this app's data, as it does for most apps.

Reminders

A reminder is scheduled by iOS on this device, at the time you choose. Nothing about it is sent anywhere, and the app asks for permission at the moment you set your first one, not at launch. By default, a reminder does not name the routine; it simply says, "A routine is due now." A lock screen anyone can see does not reveal what you are working on. You can turn the routine's name on in More. If you say no to reminders, everything else keeps working and the app says so once.

What the app cannot govern

Anything you type goes through the keyboard you are using. iOS dictation sends what you say to Apple to turn into text. A keyboard you installed yourself can see what you type into any app, and predictive text learns from it. There are four places to type in Local Routine Tracker: a routine's name, a step's name, a routine's notes, and a note on a day. A device backup you make with iCloud or on a computer includes this app's data, as it does for most apps.

Files you make

Local Routine Tracker builds the spreadsheet, the progress summary, and the backup file right here. Each one stays put until you share it or save it somewhere yourself.

Purchases

You buy Pro from Apple, in the App Store. Apple takes care of payment, and the app confirms your purchase with Apple's StoreKit. Your card and payment details never reach the app.

Deleting

Archiving a routine keeps its record and takes it out of your current figures. Deleting a routine deletes its record with it. Removing the app erases everything it stored here, so save a backup beforehand if you will want your history later.

No tracking

There is no analytics code and no advertising code in this app, and no tracking of any kind. Nothing about your routines is sent to us, and we never receive it. We do not sell data. You can check this yourself: turn on Airplane Mode and everything keeps working, except buying or restoring Pro.

Children

Nothing is collected about anyone using this app, at any age.

Changes

If this changes, the date above changes with it, and anything new that uses the network will be described here before it ships.
