The list you keep in Local Subscriptions stays on your device. There is no account to create or sign in to, and no analytics, advertising or tracking. Local Subscriptions never asks for your bank details and never connects to your bank.
Eden Apps, a sole proprietor based in Texas, USA, makes Local Subscriptions and is responsible for this policy. The app shows the same policy from the Privacy link at the foot of its main screen.
Where your information goes
- Kept on the device: every renewal you add, with its amount, next date, notes and earlier prices, plus your reminder settings and your appearance choice.
- Sent out: a Pro check with RevenueCat. It carries a random ID made for this install, the App Store's record of any purchase, an identifier Apple assigns to this developer's apps, and technical details, all set out under Buying Pro. Nothing you type goes with it.
- The reason: the app has to know whether Pro is unlocked, and needs its price before it can show it to you.
- Others involved: RevenueCat, which checks App Store purchases for app makers, and Apple, which takes any payment. Reminders are shown by iOS and are not sent anywhere.
What is stored, and where
Each renewal you add: its name, kind, amount, currency, how often it repeats, its next date, your notes and its earlier prices. Also your reminder settings, a record of which reminders have already been set so none repeats, and your appearance choice.
All of it is kept in this app's own storage on the iPhone or iPad, where no other app can read it. Removing the app removes the list with it. It is not synced between devices. To move your list, use Save a backup and Restore a backup.
Reminders
When you turn reminders on, iOS asks whether Local Subscriptions may send notifications. If you allow it, the app hands iOS a list of reminders to show at set times, and iOS shows them on the same iPhone or iPad. Each reminder shows the renewal's name, amount and date. Whether that appears on your lock screen follows your notification settings in the Settings app, where you can also hide previews. Nothing about a reminder is sent anywhere.
Exports and backups
A CSV or backup file is only made when you tap Export CSV or Save a backup. The app writes it to its own temporary folder, opens the share sheet so you can pick a destination, and deletes the temporary copy afterwards. Where you send it is your choice, and that app's own privacy terms apply there.
Buying Pro
Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple takes the payment, and your card and Apple Account details are never shown to us.
To know whether Pro is unlocked, and to show its price, Local Subscriptions relies on RevenueCat, a company that checks App Store purchases for app makers. The RevenueCat code inside the app contacts RevenueCat's servers when the app opens or comes back to the front, when it shows the Pro price, and whenever you buy or restore.
Each time, it sends a random ID made for this install, the App Store's record of any purchase in this app, and technical details: the app version, the iOS version, your device model, your language settings, your App Store country and your connection's IP address. It also sends an identifier Apple gives to every app from the same developer on a device (Apple calls it the identifier for vendor). That identifier is the same in our other apps on that device, so it could show that those apps are on one device. Local Subscriptions does not use it for advertising or tracking.
It does not send your renewals, your notes, your reminders or anything else you type into Local Subscriptions. RevenueCat's own privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
If you never buy Pro, the check still happens, and simply finds no purchase.
What we never do
We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or use it to build a profile of you. We do not collect what the app does not need.
Children
Local Subscriptions is not aimed at children, and it asks no one for personal details.
